Dr. Laurence J. Peter an educator and hieracheologist best known to the general public for the formulation of the Peter Principle said, “Going to church does not make you a Christian anymore than going to the garage makes you a car”.

On the road with a Mercedes Benz CLK.

This definitely makes sense and is true. If you’re interested in cars, buy CLK Mercedes Benz. And you’ll definitely be rest assured that the car you have is truly a car indeed. Different features and styles from every year satisfy longings of car enthusiasts just as much.

The 2007 Mercedes CLK class of pillarless coupes and free-spirited cabriolets delivers speed, horsepower, and style. The CLK350 Coupe has a 268 horsepower, 2.5 liter, V6 engine under the hood and a seven-speed automatic transmission eqipped with “Touch Shift” technology for manual gear selection. Inside you’ll find power seats that not only adjust ten ways, but retain their settings, digital climate control, and walnut wood trim. The grill has four chrome ribs and the wheels are 17 inch. MSRP on the vehicle is $46,975. (The CLK350 Cabriolet with the same engine sells for $54,975.)

The CLK550 jumps to a 382 horsepower, 5.5 liter, V8 engine with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The sculpted front air dam, side skirts, rear apron and spoiler, and unique pillarless hardtop give this coupe a compelling style. The overall look of power and speed is augmented by a black grille with four chrome ribs and a chrome dual-exhaust finisher. MSRP on this model is $55,675. (The CLK550 Cabriolet with the same engine carries an MSRP of $63,675.)

The 2007 Mercedes CLK class is rounded out by the CLK63 AMG Cabriolet. This car is outfitted with an AMG-built 475 horsepower, 6.3 liter, V8 with a seven-speed automatic that includes AMG’s proprietary “SpeedShift” programming. With its 18″ alloy wheels, sport seats, chrome exhaust tips, and leather upholstery, the CLK63 is both sexy and powerful creating pure desire in the heart of the automotive connoisseur. (MSRP is $89,975.)

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class consists of a varied lineup of luxury coupes and convertibles from the highly regarded German auto manufacturer. Similar in style to the 4 door coupe E-Class and sharing many of the same chassis components as the C-Class, The 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class luxury coupes and cabriolets are joined this year by the limited edition, 500 horsepower CLK-63 AMG Black high performance coupe. Destined to be a collector’s item, there are only 350 CLK-63 AMG Black models slated for the United States. Also new this year is a finely tuned sport suspension system and twin spoke 18 inch wheels for the best seller in the lineup, the CLK350.

Both the coupe and convertible models have a distinctively chic and sensual appearance and their feature rich cabins are luxuriously inviting with an impeccable design featuring real wood, leather and chrome. Both models are available in 3 trims and feature rear wheel drive, a 7 speed automatic transmission and seating for 4 adults -with the exception of the CLK63 Black Series from which the backseat was removed to reduce the weight of the car, therefore increasing speed and performance.

The 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK is a midsize luxury vehicle, in both coupe and convertible. Its American competitors include such notables at the Chevrolet Corvette and the Dodge Challenger. Foreign competition includes the Audi A5, BMW M3, Infiniti G37, Lexus SC 430, Volvo C70, Jaguar XK and Porsche 911. The physical looks of the CLK class has changed little in the past year, except that the super sporty AMG version has been discontinued.

There are essentially four CLKs, the 350 and the 550, each in coupe and convertible. Designations are based on the engines. Whether you chose the coupe or convertible, the 350 has a 3.5 liter 268 horsepower V6 while the 550 has a 5.5 liter 382 horsepower V8. Either is paired with a seven speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
